Recycling Solutions

Local laws may vary, but in many areas it is illegal to throw away electronics though regular disposal methods. People that live in these areas are left with a few options:

  • Bring their old electronics to a recycling facility where they have to pay for the disposal.
  • Trading them in at their local electronics store, where they get little to no credit.
  • Handing them down to a relative to get rid of them.
  • Throwing them in the attic, closet, or storage to forget about them.
  • Giving them to a charity, which will resell them, usually without doing any work to them, for a tax credit.

How We Differ from the Average Charity

Model Girl 1

Unlike most charities, we here at Charitable Computing specialize in refurbishing old computers, and giving them new life.

  • We retro-fit any outdated components with new equipment to enable them to handle programs that run at today's standards.
  • We reprogram them to suit the needs of the recipients.
  • We work with other charitable orginizations to find recipients that would benefit the most from these systems.
  • We include full service packages that set up individuals for success, right out of the box.
  • Best of all, this is all at no cost to you. In fact, you recieve tax credit for making a donation that is equal to the original price of the computer or equipment donated.
