Math Tutoring

Mathematics and Statistics are two of my personal passions. While similar, they are two very different fields and they often get confused, because they both use numbers. While they both use numbers, this in analogous to saying English and Spanish are similar because they both use letters.

I have received numerous awards for both excellence in mathematics and tutoring over the years. While I do computer repair and coding, my plan is to return to school, and get my PhD in Theoretical Statistics. This is so I may write textbooks, and help correct some of the fundamental mistakes that are taught to people about both subjects.

- Michael J. Hopkins

It is recommended that while studying any of these subjects, to limit yourself to 45 minutes, at most, to a study session. For this reason, our sessions run 45 minutes, and if a longer time is required, a 15-minute break will be taken in between sessions. Also, let it be noted that neither subject is a “spectator sport” and students will be required to do all work themselves, with assistance, of course. Any student that is below the age of 18 will require a parent or guardian present during the duration of the tutoring session.

Sessions can be at the individual’s home, or a public place, such as a coffee shop or library. We offer private Mathematical and Statistical tutoring, in the immediate vicinity, for the following areas:
