Emily J. Neale

Director of Public Relations

Growing up, I was always interested in art, and helping others. I studied photography in high school and went on to receive my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Minor in Art History, from the University of Miami.

I spend a few years working in the family business, primarily organizing the before and after school program, which included an art curriculum.

When I married, I moved to Orlando. It was there that I worked at the Orlando Museum of Art, for the Council of 101. The Council of 101 is a not-for-profit fundraising organization for the Museum. I helped organize the Annual Festival of Trees and Antiques Show. Also, I was working on my photography and exhibiting my photography in local venues, including an Artist of the Month show at the Museum.

My next venture was studying for and becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. I worked in massage businesses in the Orlando Area and also for a massage company at the Orange County Convention Center.

When my mother in law fell ill in 2011, my husband and I moved back to the Tampa Bay area. In the following two years, I lost my mother in law and my father to cancer, and my marriage dissolved.

During this time, I implemented the Child Care Food Program at the family business, a local preschool. We feed all the children in the school, regardless of income level. I became the chef of the commercial kitchen as well as the Manager of the Food Program.

Though my life has much adversity, I continue to move on and strive to help others. I have always wanted to work again with a charitable organization, as well as utilize my creative skills.

I hope to bring some light to the lives of those facing hard times. I know how tough the road can be, and I consider my ability to empathize a blessing and an opportunity to make a difference.
